Game of streaks...elves score, then steal the ball on a blitz to go up 2-0. Rats storm back to score and get a blitz of their own, along with a BH elf and a thrown stone kickoff BH elf, leaving only 9 elves for most of the second half. Soon enough it was 2-2. Elves score, rats score, neither side is doing much on defense, 3-3 with 4 turns to go.

Then it got interesting. Elves cas 3 rats in rapid succession, evening the odds considerably. Nevertheless, the rats took advantage of a little bit of overconfidence by the elves to steal the ball. With a touch of luck we were able to steal it right back, scoring as time expired.

This was the woodie game which awarded me the "wood elf addict" status, which was supposed to be when the team got forcibly retired. But they're actually in pretty good shape all told, so maybe they'll hang around for a touch longer, for those nights when I feel the need to play like an elf.
