Virus came up this match, which meant that the Adepts were already down to 12 players before they even took to the pitch. Seeing that they actually had the strength advantage for a change, the girls decided to set in and see what they could to to ensure a numerical advantage in the second half. This strategy proved quite effective ... however, it did distract them from the real aim of receiving, which is to actually score a touchdown... so, although we had the numbers in the second half (11-7), the score was still 0-0.
The second half looked a little troublesome when the SWL's newest hall of fame member, Disciple Shariputra, knocked out two of our players in the first turn! Still, with low numbers, the Adepts were forced to take risks (long-bomb to a bull in the end-zone), and they weren't quite up to the challenge. Loony Tossa had no trouble passing the ball upfield to Bone Krasha, and from there on, there was no real trouble getting the ball through for a touchdown.
With a wizard still in hand, and just 3 turns remaining, we were confident of being able to prevent a counter-score, and went for a second touchdown. Things did get close - Tetsugyu Concentration avoided the fireball sent at him, and survived several blocks, until he finally went to the ground in turn 8, and a quick pass to Knee Snappa saw the scorline reach 2-0 in the dying seconds of the match.

Kept the Adepts in the game in the first half, repeatedly getting in the way, and assisting / making blocks to keep pressure on the ball carrier. Finally, he made the dodge/blitz that put the ball on the ground and prevented a first half touchdown. A well deserved MVP.
2 pts - #16 Tetsugyu Concentration
The only bull on the field, Tetsugyu had his work cut out for him, and performed pretty darn well i think. He never quite got the touchdown he probably deserved, but kept the Adepts in the running.

Caused concern several times, niggled Neck Krusha, took down Bone Krasha when she had the ball, and dealt out a couple of KOs... if the rest of the team had done this well, i wouldn't have had many players left by the end of the game!”
“Well what a game! This was a match that had numerous twists and turns. What seemed like an evenly matched struuggle, looked to become a cakewalk after the Adepts had a nasty Virus pass throught the ageing camp. The girls in green started hot with a few big hist and things looked ominuos. But concetrating too much on their bashing, left the girls without enought time to socre and the half eneded 0-0
The adpets started the second half with the feared 7-man offense, and didn't fail to deliver. Huge hits left the game at 7 vs 8 after the first turn! A huge gamble a super long pass into the endzone failed to complete and the Amazons Loony Tossa took over and thegirls took a 1-0 lead.
This time the even more feared 6-man offense took the field for the adepts and was introuble early. But an aweseom blitz and pickup meant that the bull had the ball with a few turns to go. He managed to get to halway but the cage stumbled and the Orks took it the back the lenght of the field to leave the final score at 2-0
Twahnloes

2pts: Back Breaka - Followng Stompa was Breaka who also delivered some punishing blows on the field.
