“Facing far superior opposition the lack of control and experience within the Malefactors' team told heavily this game. Arkzein was unable to organise the beastmen into any form of coherent attack of defense. Early in the match things looked somewhat more promising, Bregol picking up the ball and instantly surrounded by pack of beastmen read to slowly drive for the line, however it was soon stripped from him and once the elves had hold of the pigskin there was little that could be done, delaying their inevitable touchdown until just before the half time whistle. They need not have bothered waiting, just six malefactor players were still on the pitch at the time. The lunatic beastmen running around seemingly at random attacking elven players to no effect, completely ignoring the captain's commands, and consequently were picked off one by one by the skilful elves.
The second half began in similarly good fortune, the elves caught napping, attempting to drive down their right flank when a clever kick landed the ball to the left, a sudden blitz by the Chaos side leaving them within sight of the touchline already. However their dire luck began to tell, Arkzein watching their sorcerous coach laugh with glee as he caused havoc to befall the chaos team. Firstly the bitz failing miserably as a beastman fell to the ground when going for it to reach the ball carrier, this the first two of such occurances. Throughout the half no fewer than three blocks in the Malefactors' favour failed, even with the Captain screaming at the Beastmen to put in extra effort and try once more, each and every time this resulted in another failure. When he suffered a bad injury which not even the apocathary could heal and was carried off the game was all but over. Just five beastmen stood when the elves deigned to score their second touchdown.
From the bone chilling, gore covered floor of the badly injured area Arkzein glared at the sorcerer, the tables were turned this game, one he had wanted to win agaist the challeneging opponents, the coach however happy to throw the match and torment the champion. It seemed this second, off the pitch, game was only just beginning.”
