The game was exciting from start to finish, with charge and counter thrust all the way!

In the first, just when the Elves looked to have held the Dwarf rushers with some superb positional play, an unorthodox central charge with man markers almost saw Kitiara home for the first score. However, she was (miracle) tackled by Shilea, the last man, who would again play a significant role later on. From this moment the Legends concentrated on removing Elves from the field, which they were extrtemely succesful at doing. End of half, 0-0!

In the second, reduced to just 5 players against 11, Shilea came up with a miralce play to actually SCORE A TOUCHDOWN! Yes, the 5 heavily-marked Elves took the lead! And not due to poor Legends positioning- Shilea was surrounded BY FOUR PLAYERS at the time!

Following from this, the Legends again took the ball down field, and again it was up to Shilea to produce a miracle tackle. However, he was one miralce short of his hat-trick and stumbled, and the Legends took the ball in for the tie.
