“First half we had things well under control. But this pesky little thing called regeneration kept my hits from counting, and every single one of his ko's woke up at halftime.
Then he starts getting the POW second half and every single foul he throws is for a casualty. My wizard fireball was completely worthless, don't think it knocked over anybody. Then I begin a series of 5-6 turns where every single turn is ended by a double-1, either gfi or dodge, while the undead can do no wrong.
By the time overtime comes along, it's 8 amazons vs an entire undead roster, quickly made 7 via foul. He's open for a blitz...until I, you guessed it, failed my gfi. After that it was all just academic and a waste of time as I never had a shot at him again, rolling nothing but skulls on my blocks and suffering yet more indignities and injuries.
Texan thinks I coached well, but the best coaching in the world can't overcome dice that just won't work. He didn't win because of dice...he played smart. But I sure as hell lost from it.”
“AFK definitely coached this one well. No cage was safe from attack and he always had a good plan, but the dice betrayed him in the second half.
Probably the worst thing for him was that his wizard was completely useless.
It was definitely a tale of two halves, where the zons got armor penetrations left and right and I could not even knock anyone down. Fortunately for me, regen worked all but one time and I was ok for the second half. Fouls on turns 8 and 9 (on zara) really made the difference and it was just numbers from there.”
