Finding themselves somehow at the top of the table went in full of confidence against the veteran Skaven side. The handicap rolls were Duh! (Again) gifted to the Clan's useful looking natural one turner and Bribe the Ref for any Gutter Runner who decided to have a lie down.

Things started well with a Fury Blitz! from the opening kick off but the Fury could make little of it given their deep defensive set up and the deep kick. Both sides then manoeuvred for position with the Fury getting a lucky break when the ball carrying Gutter took a trip when passing past the Fury's tackle Blitzer who then Seriously Injured another as a scramble broke out over the ball which had landed in the line of scrimmage. The Fury were first to recover the ball but had trouble maintaining possetion against the fleet of foot Skaven. For three consecutive turns the Fury recovered the ball only to have it taken off them by the Clan who could not manage to gain the ball themselves, the Fury took the opportunity to take a third Gutter off the pitch with an opportunistic foul. This changed when the ball scattered into Ingorance's hands, he survived the Skaven blitz, was chain-pushed into a position to dodge out and then scampered down the pitch. The tackle skill again proved the remaining Gutter's undoing allowing him to put the Fury ahead.

Forming a deep defensive line against the one turner the Fury were relieved to see the rat drop a catch before it could even start its run down the pitch.

Receiving the second half kick the Fury were greatly helped by a Feegle mis-click which effectively cost the Skaven a turn but could not stop the ball carrier being stripped of the ball on the next turn. However their strong field position allowed the Fury to regain the ball and score a second the following turn.

The Feegle's Rat Ogre saw an opportunity to frenzy an exposed Fury Blitzer into a crowd that had just thrown a rock to stun his compatriot but managed to fluff the block to end up on his back and therefore lose the Clan the initiative again. A dropped Gutter catch allowed the Fury to steal the ball but left the Blitzer responsible isolated deep in Feegle territory. He survived a turn to make the game safe but was stripped the following turn and the ball was given to the swiftest Gutter Runner to dart down the pitch. The Fury failed to take him down the following turn but surrounded his path with tackle zones forcing the Gutter to take refuge behind the Rat Ogre. With just enough reach the Fury then managed to take the Gutter down with a 3 dice blitz. The ball spilled just in range of the Fury's thrower but in the tackle zone of the Rat Ogre. Then with an impressive run of rolling the Thrower sprinted to the ball, picked it up and Long Bombed it to a Fury Lineman who ran in a third.

All that remained was a Feegle attempt at a 1TTD but as with many of the Skaven's plays in the match it failed agonisingly close to the line. The Fury had won convincingly, although a glance at the luck scores will show why the game went the Fury's way so strongly.
