“The Wind Amazons played a good game...but not a great game. On this day that is what was needed to counter the awe-inspiring duo of Cuddles and Choo-Choo Bear. The pair of them managed incredible dodges throughout the game - hitting ball carriers four times throughout the game with 1d blocks and all four were POWs with no RR needed. The duo of amazing ghouls tossed the ball perfectly, picked it up when next to one of our girls without a problem. We certainly could learn something from them. However, it all came down to the last play of the game - after battling the entire game - Embrace the Wind was happy to be able to settle for a draw...only 6 spaces from the endzone and with a lot of protection...the draw seemed a sure thing...but yet again it was the ghouls - a 4+ and a 5+ block followed by a -2d block all worked without a RR and pushed the ball carrier back. Still it should not have been enough, a 2d block to push the ghoul out of the way and 1 gfi for the touchdown...but the 2d block was skulls and used up the team RR...now just a single gfi to tie the game...and she trips as she pushes to the goalline!

Our first loss was a hard one to take, for the girls played a solid game. However, it is obvious, if we want to achieve anything as a team, we need to do more than just play good. Completely outplayed by the ghouls and their host of skeletons - we acknowledge Iskabis's team for an awesome display...one that will hopefully inspire us in the coming games!”
