A last gentle game of elfbowl before the Duskriders slip into oblivion. It looked very much like a tit-for-tat kind of game with the offence dominating any defensive patterns. Certainly it looked like neither side was interested in applying any biff to the other. It seemed to be headed toward a draw, or at least a some tension if the woodies had to score in the last turn or two to steal it. Alas a second half blitz meant a two goal advantage that we were never going to overtake. A superior passing game from Double Doubles told in the end. Duskwind tried to compete and he did for the most part but was let down by some imperfect catching.

Who to chose ? The whole of the woodies offense was on song all day, but in the end the money goes to the players who set up the scores.
3 Points. Van B. Give him another few seasons and he'll rival our own Duskwind as the foremost thrower in Premier :) A passing exhibition match from him.
2 Points. Mikey the Bikey. WD's always figure in there somewhere don't they and this guy was no exception. Never, ever, confident that we could hold out a TD when this guy was around. Exceptional athleticism.
1 Point. Big Gay Al. Just cause I like the name :D
Grats for the game Erikekers - I'm happy to see another elf team take on the Premiership mantle !”
“The WDDs enjoyed their first game of Elfbowl for quite sometime, 18 games infact! The Duskriders were champions last year but were starting to show their age. This still did not stop them putting up one hell of a fight.
The Woodies started off on the wrong foot with Huchy sent off during the first minute of the game. This did not slow down the Woodie offence though as Van B set up Timmy for a early 1-0 lead.
Defence started out well with the men of wood mananging to tie up all the recievers that had run downfield. However just when it looked like the could put some pressure on Duskwind Strongarm, Devon slipped and knocked himself out. This left the Star thrower an easy pass to Vilecure Rankbow. 1-1
Another Kickoff and another lightning fast offence. Van B to Brown Fish 2-1. With time running out the Woodies managed to take their lead into the half time break.
Van B and Duskwind appered to having a throw off between each other and neither teams defence seemed to have any soultions. It was raining TDs as Meidna Megrim and Toshiba added to the score. 3-2
The Woodies just could not shake of the spirted fight of the Duskriders and with a Championship on the line a draw was not going to be good enough. Mikey the Bikey and Co launched a lightnig blitz on their next kickoff which caught the Darkies on the backfoot. Woodies swarmed in an around where the kick was going to land and even Jenny B managed to get himself into a usefull position. Duskwind tried to get to there but tripped just short. Mikey caught the Ball and skipped over the prone elf and gave the Men of Wood the needed 2 TD break.
A TD a piece to finish the scoring off and a final score of 5-3.
The WDDs are now 1 win away from securing the Premiership!

3pts: Duskwind Strongarm - Flawless throwing game. The Woodies never looked like stopping him on offence once the ball was in his hands
2pts: Eversharp Lackhue - This guy was bloody annoying. He was always in the way and proved very hard to knock over. He certainly makes up for his lack of pace
1pt: Vilecurse Rankow - Was the Duskriders main reciever and proved to agile for the Woodies defence to handle
Cheers for the game Longshanks. Good luck with your new team.
