“The Rodents emerged from the stadium tonight with the grandest of all prizes, the American Cupcake, after defeating the Ditty Bops 3-1!
In truth, the game was fairly one-sided with few opportunities for the depleted Bops to assert themselves. There were a few nice moments, such as Lily charging down the field with the ball, but they were few and far between, and separated by long spells of Rodent domination. The diving tacklers in particular tied up most of the Bops very well.
Donella did show her form however, and scored a consolation touchdown before the Rodents got their third.
Reports coach Prasomchai, "This game was one too many for us. Overall, we're 6-0-3 for the season after a 0-0-2 start, so I am very pleased with what we've achieved. We'll have to work on some anti-Rodents tactics in time for next season however!"
"Well done to my opponent, who like myself has earned a place in the tougher division for season 2. I hope he remains motivated to defend his title after coasting to the cupcake! We promise to give him a tougher game next season!"
So there you have it folks, the title's in the books! ”
“Today the Rodents have achieved the dream of all Stunty teams by winning the finals of the SFL 3-1 against a very determined Fairy team.
The players are all extremely happy about the result and feel that they have worked hard all season long to get that win.
Coach domsterlord commented:
"the cupcake trophy is now ours! and may the other teams know this: Next season this will be ours to defend and defend it we will, the will not be a single dagger left unpoisoned, not a dirty trick left unused, we will PREVAIL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
