“The last time I played Die Orcs ended in a disaster for Bogrot's Bombers, who lost 0-4 and had one player killed. This time, it turned out somehow differently...

I received first, and on turn 3 attempted a pass into the opponent's end zone. But then it happened again - with a straight 6, the Orcs' thrower intercepted it, and in a breakaway Breigater quickly scored a TD.

I got the equalizer before half time in a very similar situation; only this time, the ball was well out of their Blocker's reach and was caught by Wrotsnog in the end zone. It was his second career TD and the first ever scored against Die Orcs.

They tried to take the lead again on turn 8, when their gobbo managed to dodge out from between two of my men. However, his blitz was wasted by a failed bonehead roll on the Ogre (a pretty common phenomenon in this match), and his thrower tripped on a gfi trying to get into long pass reach.

Then, at the start of the second, a major riot interrupted the match, lasting 6 turns! Die Orcs still tried to score and win the match, but a failed gfi (again) foiled their attempts. (Aside from that, he would still have had to get his only available scorer away from the three Bombers surrounding him.)

Winnings were not plentiful, but since no permanent injuries had occurred, that was a minor issue. Besides, it was still enough to hire a troll. And three of my players got skills, which was really nice. :)”
