“In their inaugural game, 'Moe's Tavern Duffers' took on a mean looking 'Necromantic' team, the 'Graveyard Patrol'.
The 'Duffers' managed to open up the scoring in the first half with some great teamwork, resulting in a TD for the teams founder 'Moe Szyslak'. However this proved to be the sum total of any good play that they could muster today.
The mean looking 'Graveyard Patrol' rallied themselves and set about punishing the 'Duffers' for their early show of competence. On a good drive in the second-half they left most of the 'Duffers' on the deck and also managed to fill their KO'd box. This resulted in a good TD for 'Thardsun' towards the end of the game to guaruntee themselves a well earned draw.
'Duffers' coach 'Hotspurstu' was quoted as saying, "I'm proud of my boys today, they knew when to pressure for the score and they also knew when they were gonna get seriously hurt and avoided it at all costs. Yes it was a tame way to finish the game, but I think our opposition were well worth the draw and there seemed little point in getting slaughtered trying to prevent the inevitable. I'd like to thank the 'Graveyard Patrol' for their efforts and hope to play them again, sometime in the future".”
