“Today, the Sewer Suckers had an appointment with a true legend: Eclonis Darkshadow, one of the best Dark Elf players around. At the start of the game however, Eclonis’ teammate Dryxolis Bloodrage refused to be on the pitch with him. We never knew what happened in the locker-room, but rumour has it that Dryxolis’ arrogance couldn’t cope anymore with the constant bragging of Eclonis about some puny little skaven team that came all the way to play against him. Nevertheless, we were quite happy that, as a result, the Shadow Peak Pillagers were a bit outnumbered.
The Pillagers’ coach took the wise decision to put Dryxolis on the bench and let Eclonis play. Little did he know that his star player had been so pleased with the admiration of the skaven that he’d been out all night with the Sewer Suckers cheerleaders. (Actually we don’t have any cheerleaders, it was just our board of directors dressed up a bit, but if you give any dark elf enough Warp Beer they won’t notice the difference). Anyhow it didn’t look like the Pillagers’ star realised that the game was allready in progress, he just stood there wondering why the floor of the bar suddenly grew grass on it and why people were throwing balls instead of stools; after the first drive, the coach put him on the bench for the rest of the game.
The game itself was very nice, lots of touchdowns, lots of SPP, hardly any casualties and a win in the end. Speedy Gonzalez once again had a superb day and our two younger runners (Aranesp and Rataldinho) were at their best. Too bad our team captain (the Crippler) wasn’t there to watch it all, but Dengue made a nice effort to replace him. Keep an eye on this guy the next few games ! ”
