“Not nearly as violent a game as the casualty list suggests.

Broken Tooth won the toss, received, and started a quick drive up the right hand side. Norse blitzer Kroon was instantly killed when his frenzied block on Kruggar went badly wrong. The Terrors continued to push down their right, knocking out Pero and Putte, but Aethel was dominating the centre of the field, and badly hurt Soggarth. Cesar bravely looped behind the entire orc line, and cannoned into the back of Mugok in the orc pocket, but the ball was recovered by Diskull, and the norse line in front of him was looking thin. Horgan KO'd Bullen, then lethal Kruggur was again instrumental in the second fatality as ZogZug Brokk tore through Robinsson.

Aethel managed to KO Granhit, who had been paying no attention to the game so far. But Kruggur and Brokk continued their partnership KOing Luca and Tarro in quick succession, leaving Diskull a clear path into the end zone for the Terrors' first competitive score.

With 4 players on the pitch, the Angels were badly needing a break. All five knocked out players returned, giving a glimmer of hope of an equaliser before half time. The orcs were caught slow footed on the kick off, thinging the game practically over, and Aethel prompted rampaged through the centre of the orc line. Bullen was able to force a gap open on the norse left. Pero recovered the kick, and placed a long pass straight into the hands of Cesar, who set off downfield.

The 56,000 string crowd held their breath as Cesar managed to fend off Brokk, but despite his training was unable to dodge past the imposing bulk of Diskull, and Cesar was carried off with a serious injury just before half time.

The second half started badly for the Angels, as even Granhit managed to catch the offense flat footed, and crushed Aethel, killing off both the over-grown cow and the hopes of the Angels' fans.

Zogzug Brokk had managed the rare feat of catching his own team's kick off, but Luca and Pero were able to tackle the blitzer. An enraged Brokk jumped to his feet, and killed Pero in response, to the wild cheers of the Terrors' fans. This equaled the record of two kills by a single player in a debut game, and 4 kills by a team in their debut game.

Kruggur was knocked out by Putte, but that still left 6 norse facing 9 orcs, and the second half stretching out in front of them. But when Bullen knocked Granhit off his feet, anything looked possible. Unfortunately Granhit had the last word, returning to his feet and finding Bullen within punching range, the troll ended Bullen's game.

Meanwhile the orcs were rampaging down their right again, but Mugok outran his covering teammates, and was tackled by Sam. Sam and Tarro continued to blunt the orc offense, leaving Mugok, Horgan and Guggurth on their backs.

Godong added another casualty, seriously injuring Luca midway through the second half. Horgan pushed Sam into the crowd, and then the three remaining Angels decided that it would be best not to attract the attention of the orcs by returning to their feet. Orc of the match Brokk should really have scored again, but the orcs were too busy celebrating a very convincing 1-0 win to bother with the score.”
