“The game started off well, with some good blocks by the elves and some poor blocking by the beastmen and the wood elves were up 1-0. On the next kickoff, things started to go downhill...5 players (all wood elf players) were stunned by a pitch invasion. However, a missed pass gave the wood elves a chance, Asher grabbed the ball and tried to break into the clear...hoping for the minnie to fail its wild animal roll...but no - it crashed into Asher and picked up the ball...the elves surrounded the minnie, but then in a fateful turn, the minnie escaped the elf prison with 4+ and 3+ dodges and then on a 1d block, Zach was killed by a beastman (mighty blow changing the KO to a kill). Dispirited the elves nearly fell apart...really the defense seemed to sag after this - however, the chaos team could not convert as their pass on the final play of the 1st half fell incomplete and so we went to the second half with the score 1-0.
The second half started with only 8 players left for the wood elves. A very nice kick buried the chaos team deep, but with stuns and KO on their first 6 blocks of the half, the elf defense was lacking. A sweet run, pass, handoff, run in for the score exposed the massive holes in the elf defense to prefection. The score now 1-1.
The elves were on offense again and it took two turns for Asher to connect with Aidan in the endzone for a TD to put the elves back ahead 2-1.
The next kickoffs the fans again helped out the chaos by throwing a rock to stun one of the elf players. The elves were too aggresive on defense and the chaos too advantage, passing and handing off again to perfection to get upfield. Instead of scoring though, the chaos team decided to stall a bit to prevent the elves from having time on offense. It nearly cost the chaos team though as the elves managed to get a 1d block on the ball carrier (a chaos warrier), but it came up a skull...and on the last play the chaos scored to make it a 2-2 tie.
Well played and exciting game, thanks!”
