“This was a real test for the rats. Our best gutter went niggle and one of my other 2 went niggle before kickoff. The girls first turn saw 2 more rats take a seat via injuries. On the rats first turn we had our dirty player take a seat because old eagle eye ref saw the foul. This left us short handed the rest of the game. it was back and forth with the rats depending heavy on our one turn scorer. But after the girls scored to make it 3-2 they also got a blitz. This gave them a 4-2 lead and the one turner fail just before the half. We got the ball and marched down ( one turn score again ) and scored. Than a fumbule and we scored again. With the score 4-4 the girls tryed to mount another attack when the big guy was able to loosen the ball and a gutter picked it up and made a pass and the other gutter on turn 8 scored. the comeback was complete! 5-4 the rats win! But thats where the good news stops. After the game both rats ( including the one turn scorer ) who took skills niggled. This sadly was the last game the rats will play as the coach put the brave little rodents in a big field and let them go to pasture to live out the last of there days. What a comeback for a good team that in the end was not able to withstand the punishment of the sport. Good game and well coached on both sides.”
