“Legend SMACK round 1.

The Elves were seriously outmatched here (+57 STR!), but put up a very good fight. They easily scored in two turns, and held off an equalizer in the first half with a classic 2-squares apart, 2-deep defense. 0-1 at halftime. In the second half, da Rippas pressured through the same kind of defense (very good defending, if you're an elf coach and unsure how to defend against bashers, take a look at the replay). 1-1 at full time.

The Elves got to kick in OT and got one shot at the ball-carrier after a failed Rippas pickup, but da Rippas Thrower remained standing and we could then clear enough Elves off the pitch to make it a 2-1 win.
