“This was the third(?) round of the Admin Tourney in which we all submitted teams and were then randomly assigned one of those teams and off we went. This time I had the pleasure of playing against the CDs I had submitted. Kind of funny.
I was quite lucky today (well, last night, but you get the idea), with no injuries, +FF and enough winnings to get a 5th Saurus (finally!).On field, things went pretty well too and I didn't have nearly as much of the usual stumbling over the ball routine. That was an enormous aid, let me tell you.
Pardus won the coin flip and I received. I broke through the line and scored in 2. The dwarves and hobbos received and tried to slowly creep in for a turn 8 score but the Saurii were able to break up the cage and he ended up short (no pun intended) and out of time.
The second half, I kicked and managed to snag the ball after an untimely double skulls by a CD that cracked open the cage. A saurus caught it and ran it in on turn 2 or 3. Pardus received and ran a nice drive in the next few turns, scoring towards the end of the match. I received again on turn 7 or so, but blew the quick pass to the open skink 7 spaces from the endzone on the last turn of the game.
Replay junkies might be interested in the beginning of the second half. Some cool chain pushing got my saurus (with the ball) free of a nasty knot of dwarves.
Thanks again Pardus for a good fun game and good luck in the rest of the tourney.”
