“Toady McCroak'n reporting live after the dramatic end of the Flamin Gizzards opening round victory. Skunk-o spread some cash around before the match to ensure that he was given the Game's MVP, but clearly Kongo Mongo was the hero of the match.

Mongo finished a grinding opening drive with a score midway through the first half. Taunts of "Take it Nerd" were heard to the jungle canopy far above the ancient pitch.

KRUNK-O-SAURUS, the Gizzard's suprisingly agile Kroxigor, foiled Daoi-Sith's attempt to answer back with a first-half score of their own. He deftly dodges away from one of the DS linemen and crashes through a crowd of blockers to toss the ball carrier out into the foliage.

Daoi-Sith injected some fear into the match causing a SI on their first block. Sotek willed Iguana II to remain in the game, but this early display of violence certainly shook the chameolen ref as Daoi-Sith was free to throw fouls for most of the match.

The sun rose high into the sky for the second half of the game and both teams succombed to the arid conditions. DE Flesh as well as scaley hides were no match for the sun...and three from each side were unable to answer the bell.

The Gizzards fell back trying to hold the 1-0 lead. They had the Dark Elfs pinned right up on the tree line, but they worked their elfy magic and pull of a score late in the game to send the match into OT.

Sotek granted his minions the kick-off and an extra re-roll for OT, and then Kongo Mongo did the rest. Skink-o scooped up the ball and scooted down the feild for the winning score...but Mongo wreaked hakov down-field and cleared the way. He KOd his opposite number on the line, and then promptly killed Alunot Cavepanther...the defensive specialist. Not trusting in the questionable ball skills of his diminutive teammates...Mongo targeted the Ball Hawk Dark Elf and sent him to see Khaine.

With this win...and his standout performance...Kongo Mongo hase given notice to rest of the teams teams vying for the prestigious Midenheim Challenge.
