“Typical bad luck match. Second turn one lineman dead. 7th turn first half could make it 2-0 on anything but a 1....it's a 1 and my player is stunned. He barely failed to break armor the first half. Second half I couldn't roll anything but 1's plus a pitch invasion in his favor injuring 6 of my 8 players gave him his second touchdown for free. making a quick pass proved impossible for these elves the second half. they couldn't dodge away from themselves this match. On the plus side, don't have to worry about my team rating seeing as how he killed 2 players...”

“This was my second match in the Hotfoot 100 where teams must get their TR to 100 or less after each match. I came in with 10 players (I had to fire a perfectly good lineorc to get below 100 TR) against meatpack's rookie team (they missed the first round due to scheduling issues apparently).
The game started off with 2 quick CASs against the DEs. Unfortunately, both came up RIPs. That put meatpack on the defensive the whole match and having to play against a front line of 2 BOBs and a Troll made things even tougher for him. Still he pulled out 2 quick scores in the opening of each half thanks to some good aggressive defense and a really cool play when cornered to start the second half. I also had a full-field play to end the first half which was quite a sight. All done when out of RRs, to boot.
(On a personal note, meatpack was quite a whiner. I'll attribute it to bad luck and just a bad mood because of it, since he certainly had his share. I will, however, avoid him in open because, given a choice, I'd rather not hear it. Like I said, YMMV, it could have just been a bad day.)
