“A hard-fought match that almost ended in a tie - instead, Science Gone Wrong's winning streak was been extended to 6 games! In the opening drive, the Cimmerians were agile in their offense, forcing Science Gone Wrong to over-commit to one wing and quickly fading across field just out of reach for a quick score. Science Gone Wrong responded by pounding down the flank, bunching the defenders at midfield until some pursuit got in close and the ball was taken in for the touchdown.

The second half started with a kick to Science Gone Wrong. The dwarves received the ball and started a wedge in the wide zone, but the Norse soon piled into the gaps and forced a retreat to midfield. While there was no pressure on the ball-handlers, they misplayed the ball and invited disaster as a blitzer pounded his way to the action. Light skirmishes erupted all over the field, with heavy fighting down the wedge. As the end whistle neared, two norse freed themselves up for a pass within scoring distance, the dwarven defenders either shoved into the crowd or groggily moaning on the ground. The dwarven wedge tried desperately to hold their position around the ball but they were pushed away from the sidelines by concerted effort. As a lineman reached for the ball, eyes intent on making the winning pass... a fan from the crowd dumped his drink on him and nabbed the ball! The toss sailed through the air and tumbled into open pitch right in front of Doctor Strangelove. He burst out of the pack as his team looked on, hollering encouragement. He snatched the ball up, leaned towards the touch line and dove home. TOUCHDOWN!!! The nailbiting conclusion of the match caused each and every fan to require more ale. Emergency kegs were flown in with help from the Mage College, and there was much rejoicing.
