“Those prognosticators don't know what they're talking about!!! Well, I guess they were half right, we got the one TD.

A tough match, the dwarves put together two amazing drives that stalled. The first stalled thanks to a sacrificial block by Pssst, way to take one for the team, who went toe to toe with Rlag Silverfist and they both went down. The cage broken and the ball in the hands of Rher Grandgilder, you could tell he was a Longbeard, I don't think he's ever held a ball in his hands. Igulam made the critical play, taking a block by Tanhar Doomiron and sending him to the ground, followed by the block that sent Rher to ground and freed up the ball. Unfortunately it took us too long to free the ball and we were unable to get the ball very far. I could have been more aggressive and called a much riskier run for Ssslather through the heart of the Longbeard cage, but we had a second half to play still.

Starting the second half we were down Ssslather and Ssshard who both called for the apothecary, or would have if they didn't have broken jaws. I held the apothecary back.

A bad kick put the ball in the hands of Komodo, and he was loathe to relinquish it. This was also a good thing as the only ball handler we had left was Pssst, who responded to the smelling salts during half-time. Gila provided the freeing block that opened a path for Komodo to the endzone. Pssst escorted him the whole way saying, "Give me the ball, I can get it in!" Komodo however learned from Gila's mistake in a game against the Fightin' Irish and would not let go of the ball. Good thing too, as he carried it into the endzone with a parting shot to Tirtak Elfender.

It took some coaxing to get the guys out there after the endzone celebrating, which happened to be loud enough to wake up Mejical and Sssyler.

With only seven lizards on the field, five Sauri and two Skinks, we were hard pressed to mount a defense. Our line of scrimmage got shredded by theirs leaving only four to stop the run up the sidelines. Komodo still making his case for MVP, which was denied, I think the officials were intimidated by Gila, made an unbelievable dodge away from two of the Miners and sent Hidar Redfinder to the ground. Not satisfied with this, he caught the fumble! I kept yelling at him to throw it away, but Komodo seems to like to hold onto the ball.

A few more blocks thrown, I kept looking at my watch waiting for the final whistle, it finally blew with only Pssst still standing on the pitch, and the Miners disappointed as none of them had the legs much less the hands to get the ball into the endzone!

An exceedingly tough game, with Nuffle not raising his ugly head too often.

Gila: No you no one. *grabs an official by the head and shows him* Tell him me no scare you. *smiles at official, who squirms and says "MVP, MVP"*

Sssla: IF I'd been able to play, I'd have made that run through the giant's cage and we'd have won 2-zip. *Ssslather glares at Sssla, unable to speak with his jaw sewn shut*

Gila: *looks at Sssla, then turns to Komodo* Good job brother, you make me proud.”
