“Game 3, Season XIX

Coming into this game Loth's Guard could only field 7 players. Chief Vitalstatistix made it clear anything but a win would be unacceptable in those circumstances and the Warriors of Gaul answered the call.

We kicked off and caught the Dark Elves napping as the ball went deep. We blitzed downfield, Fulliautomatix knocking out the witch elf as he went past. Jani recovers the ball but fumbles a pass attempt upfield. Metallurgix scoots in and hands-off the ball to a waiting Prolix who blitzed Jani out of the way. Jani would not be denied tho and downed Prolix in return but unfortunately he couldn't stay upright himself. The ball bounces kindly, straight to Metallurgix who hands off to Monosyllabix to score on his debut.

On our kickoff, Jani collects the ball from on the sidelines and manages a pass to the Witchelf Githia in centre field. A scrum forms and luckily Metallurgix manages to resist a push by Quendat that would allow Githia to break out of the cage. Seizing the opportunity, Monosyllabix knocks her down. The ball bounces to Instantmix who hands off to Unhygenix while the rest of the Gauls swamp the few remaining elves. In the subsequent melee, Whosemoralsarelastix kills Githia. While she is ministered to by their apothecary, Unhygenix strolls in to score. The Gauls are up by 2 and looking good !

The Gaurdsmen recover quickly though and promptly reply with a simple pass to Xoriania on the LOS who scampers downfield. Fulliautomatix has a shot at bringing him down but gets tripped by Githia in the attempt, leaving the blitzer an easy run to the line. 2-1 at halftime.

We receive, promptly knock down a bunch of elves on the LOS and send some runners deep. Fulliautomatix can't collet the ball cleanly but next turn manages a pass to Prolix who advances the ball and passes to Monosyllabix after a failed blitz by Githia. A second TD for Monosyllabix - what a debut he's having!

Xoriania trys the run downfield again but this time he gets smacked by Instantmix, the ball bouncing favourably to Whosemoralsarelastix. Unfortunatley in his attempt to evade the mass of Gauls bearing down on him, Vicoria falls flat on his face and is drowned in the mud. With only 4 players left on the field, Loth's Gaurd can't stop another TD as Whosemoralsarelastix sportingly passes it to Beefix allowing him to score.

The Gauls biggest win thus far! And top of the Regional table after 3 games! Who would have thought it?
