“Zeer Ox was sharpening his claws. This was anticipated as a brutal game with much blood spilling. But Nuffle had a twist up his sleave. Zeer Ox’s niggling old knees locked up and he couldn’t make it on to the field… The Wild were down to 11 players and missing Zeer Ox’s claws.

The game started with the Wild electing to kick… not such a wise move in hindsight. The St-Lin Woodbreakers immediately laid out one of the beastmen leaving the Wild down to 10 players. The Wild defense failed to hold and the Woodbreakers quickly scored.

On the kick to the wild, the Woodbreakers blitzed applying strong pressure. The Wild got the ball to mid-field, and then the ball carrier was laid out on a one die block (no RRs left for the Woodbreakers). After picking up the loose ball, the elf tried an illfated throw that was intercepted by the slowly plodding Fardegorg. The Wild managed to advance the ball up the field for a TD to tie it at 1-1 at the half.

Second half, the Wild get some luck taking out the CJay Neverdie, a wardancer. Then the AG5 catcher Juliet M was down amid a cluster of beastmen. Laldu plunged his cleat into the unfortunate elf’s body for a brutal kill and the second foul of his career.

Woodbreakers went mad with rage and played more like dirty norsemen than elves. They blocked and fouled everything in sight chasing the Wild into the endzone, as the Wild took a 2-1 tenuous lead.

With plenty of time left, the Woodbreakers received the kick, held off a blitz, and ran a screen up their left side of the field for a game tying TD.

With little time remaining, the Wild tried for a fast drive up the field. In the process Rotu took himself out of the game by bashing his own skull in (and it did not regen). The Woodbreakers played strong defense and knocked a pass out of Hakathal’s arms. On the last turn of the game after inflicting a harmless foul, the Woodbreakers avenged Juliet M by killing Orchm.

The game ended in a brutal 2-2 tie and the FANS LOVED IT!!!
Both team’s fan bases increased as the fans anticipate that this may be the start of a legendary rivalry.
