“This game was a tale of two halves. It started out innocent enough. Elf ball was played well by both teams. The clones were clearly better organized and better coached, but the illegal drugs take the Wood Elf WD named Peace be With You, turned him into a graceful dodging and leaping and catching freak. The superior coaching of the Clones could not stop him from moving freely about the field. Even though the Clones were calling the perfect defensive play on each kick off, Peace Be With You was able to tally 2 scores. With the score of 2-1, the Dancers were set to kick off when misfortune struck. The Dancers called a perfect defense, followed by a mishandled ball and a quick counter score. The ensuing kick off was Blitzed! by the Dancers. Even though the Clones handled the blitz well, they were unable to score when one the pro elves made a blocking mistake and found himself on the ground. It was a very rotten way to finish a half.
The Clones took the ball in the second half. The Peace Dancers showed momentary brillance in surfing the Clone ball carrier. Peace Be With You swooped in and secured the loose ball, and the very uncharacteristcally fumbled the pass attempt. The Clones took quick advantage and scored. The final 4 turns were just desserts for the Peace Dancers. They were only able to succeed at 6 actions in the final quarter of the game. But one of those actions was a vindicating and heroic blitz by Peace Be With You to stop the equalizing TD. The Clones last attempt to tie the game ended up in the hands of the crowd and the game ended 3-2. For such a horrible first half, the Clones were almost able to tie the game in some of the most exciting and tense turns seen on the pitch. A memorable game.
