A tough game vs Quaruk and his mighty team with 3 Str4s and leapers to keep my offence struggling. The Falcons started in offence and failed a hand off (after making a few other 2+s with no RR left) and the Defenders stole the ball and scored first.
The Falcons caged their way to a 1-1 score, using two Guarders to protect a Str4 ball carrier (Str4 Block Tackler Leaping Throwers should not be allowed!!!).
Second half, the Defenders started in offence and effected a quick easy score and the Falcons replied quickly against 10 Defenders (unfortunately a Lineman got niggled after Quaruk's Apoth was used in the first turn of the game to save a RIP).
On the next drive, the Falcons put 3 sidesteppers on the LOS and the Defenders used a RR trying to buy a pow, and they then rolled a 1 on the ball handling.
This let the Falcons penetrate quickly and they stole the ball on the following turn after the Defenders rerolled a two dice block into double skulls (very very unlucky) and the Falcons held on to win the match.
----------
A fun game vs a fun opponent. First half, Quaruk had a big luck advantage as he kept KOing, stunning or injuring my potential scorers to leave me under huge pressure as I rolled quite a few snakes (about 4 for the half).
Second half however, was a huge reversal as it was my opponent who got a stack of 1s at critical times to allow me the crucial steal at 2-2 and get the go ahead score that eventually won the game.
Anyways, I wish Quaruk luck with his rebuilding and I am sure he will be back with lots of +Strs, AGs and MAs to terrorise the high TS elves again soon.”
