“The Wanderers head south to the dark forests of Sylvannia, to Timisoara.
The match began rather strangely for the lads from Sjoktraken. After setting up an excellent sweep, the usually nimble Nicolas Anelkasson was tripped up trying to make an easy dodge (3+=2,1) on his way toward the endzone. The resulting scrum lasted for several turns. While the Wanderers repeatedly were able to take down the ball carrier, the ball would just as repeatedly bounce straight into the waiting arms of a Dragons player. Finally Ali Al-Habsisson managed to get his hands on the ball and get clear to pass to Nicolas Anelkasson who ran toward the endzone thinking he was clear. However the quick Vampire Count Manstein gave chase and pinned Anelkasson to the sidelines with a push. Ali gave chase in an attempt to help his mate, but barely reach the two. Fearing he'd be pushed into the hostile Timisoara crowd, Nicolas attempted to dodge past the bloodthirsty count only to be tripped up at the last moment (3+=1,2). Fortunately for Sjoktraken, a misplayed block gave the Wanderers a chance to reach the ball first. With a little help from Fortunesson, Ali knocked the dark lord to the ground, retrieved the ball and hustled in for the score. With little time left in the first half, a blitz by the wanderers almost lead to a second score, but the clock ran out just before the lads could score again.
The second session began with another quick blitz for the Wanderers, however this time the kick went too deep and the lads could do little. The Dragons responded brutally KOing 1and stunning 3 SWBC players. Quickly becoming outmanned, the lads tried to hold their lead, but the Dragons were finally able to drive home the tying goal.
With little time left in the game, SWBC took the kickoff needing a lot of help from the winds of fate... Their help came in the form of a Vampire knocking himself down (double Pow/Skull) against Henrik Pedersensson. Ali rushed forward and handed the ball to Jussi Jaaskelainenson, who maneuvered his way for a short pass to Pedersensson. Perfect pass, perfect catch, and as the Sjoktraken catcher huffed toward the goal, he put forth a last few bursts (2 GFI) to make the winning score!
An exciting day for the Wanderers getting their first win in the Premiership, and evening their record at 2/1/2.”
