The dwarves looked on paper to be at a disadvantage, but their purchased of Zara was key. I bought Ramtut, but he influenced the game little as the 3 Dauntless players on the Dwarven team made short work (get it!) of any 4+ strength players I had... especially combined with all that guard and block.
Nothing my players did went right... Fair enough it's tough to hurt av9 dwarves, but I couldn't dodge, block or ball handle... and in direct contrast it felt like anything Duke rolled was a splat.
After two such enjoyable games in the run up to the final this was a horrible one... I don't mind losing, but to be looked upon by Nuffle with such disdain really didn't add anything positive to my mood... and this was a game against a mate too...
Ah well... it was fun seeing my CR reach the heady heights of 173 to come crashing back down to earth again to 169.
The good thing to come out of this was that the golem Shaggy Rogers got the MVP award which earned him +Str... all I need is block on him now!”
