FWC V Final

Well, the Khemri won, but not exactly as I thought they would. A lucky it wasn't me took out Ramtut and another Mummy failed his niggling roll so it was actually 11 Khemri vs 10 Vamps at the start.

Unfortunately the Khemri got the ref at the start of both halves and my 1 singular DP foul was caught immediatley making the cas rather heavy on the vamps.

Despite some bad luck from both sides I managed to get in a scoring position in the 1st half but a lucky -2d knocked down the ballcarrying vamp and he naturally failed a GFI for the score.

After that the second half was routine for the Khemri, with the wizard even failing to fireball the Thro-Ra who scored a TD and became the Golden Boot for the tourney.

Well played by my opponent who proved his team was by far the best in the tourney. I hope everyone who participated in WC 5 enjoyed themselves and I'll see you all next season.

It was just before the rescheduled KO time when we found out the cause for the delay. Ivory Coast was scoring some drugs and the rest of the team were framing it on Ramtut Third who was arrested in the tunnel and dragged away pleading his innocense.

The crowd took unkindly to missing out on seeing the Star Player and expressed their displeasure by taking out the ref.
Despite some serious stomping and a brave -2db against the stalling, drugged up Ivory Coast that luckily paid off. IC still managed to jump to his feet, breakaway, grab the ball and head for the line in the final turn only to fail the second GFI needed to score.

The second half was minorley delayed when the crowd once again hammered the ref having liked what they saw first half and linging up 11 v 5 was very soon 9 or 10 with the freedom of an empty pitch. Coach G_Force had been worried about the excessive fouling as the wizard was looking menacing and a well placed fireball could have been devostational however th man of magic chose to hold out and finally unleased his blast on the ball carrying Vertebrae who somehow managed to dodge the blast then step over the line to score (and apparently take the golden boot award).

With the return of 3 players First Round Exits made a valliant effort in the remaining 2 turns but a gang beeting on the forward player put a final nail in the coffin of the vampires and granted World Cup Bones a first FWC title for Khemri.

A great effort by PhoenixDark but the odds i think were always against him and all credit too him the took the heavy hitting action in good spirits (or more illegal drugs :D)
