“The game was to be the final chapter in the epic grudge match between these two teams. The Terrors, with Talloak Sparrowgold out with a nigggling injury were already in a weakened state and only just able to turn out a full team.

Things started to go wrong for the elves early on, when their opening drive resulted in catcher Kal Cloudstarr being sacked after reciving a great pass from Lion'el Oakarm. With the ball loose, a ruck ensued that saw the Spiders come out on top. Some fantastic blocking by Obscurux Ghost put a load of elves on their behinds and the promising Lineman Quieteye Fellsky in hospital.


With the ball now in skaven possession, Bilious Warpspike took a handoff tore down the pitch to score, taking his impressive tally to 5 TDs this season.


By now, injuries were starting to rack up on both sides, notably Seeprot who was lucky to be alive after emergency medical treatment. Blye the Twisted was also getting another white knuckle ride, after being singled out and having his oversized hand mashed. You are beginning to wonder if he regrets his mutation. On the other hand.....


With elves strewning their injured dugouts, it was a case of defending for the Spiders, which they did with style up to half time.


In the second half, the Spiders received the kick, and with 7 men on the pitch, the Terror's defence looked like an orc hoboe's blanket. This allowed the ratmen to employ a rolling cage formation and steamroller the remaining elves. It also gave team captain Chitter Rag Ear, the chance to run in for an impressive 14 paces.
