“This game was one of those nightmare games where everything went wrong (not only the dice). Stand Firm was completely POWed off the field all the time by this bloodthirsty WE team.
Both Rurub Goldfighter and Aono Farfighter (both blitzers) missed their 1st game in their 45 game history this game due to the niggeling injuries they both suffered on ageing on their 4th skill. With only 2 players with a higher AG then 2, this game was going to bring a lot of trouble, right from the start.
Ruck Summerbeard was SI'ed quickly in turn 3, Kegeru Edgeseeker STR 4 linebeard followed (Hor Warlockkiller was actually also SI’ed, but since coach Winter_Silverfox disconnected that turn due to bad ISP problems, this was only a illusional thing).
By a miracle Stand Firm managed to score 1-0 in turn 8, so far so good, why did I still have a bad feeling anyway about this game? It didn’t take long to find that out.
A quick step in turn 8 enabled Flying elves to score without RR on a 2+ 3+ 2+ 2+ 2+ this is easy!
The 2nd half things were not really improving: I got a blitzmove, but I completely blew my chance on the 1st GFI… and pressing on yes to RR that dice.. pro was used (I wanted a RR).. and failed L. <Damn I can be stupid sometimes>
Hor Warlockkiller was SI’ed the 2nd time before the Flying elves scored 2-1 without too much trouble.
With only 9 players left standing on the field, Stand Firm tried desperately to bring this game to a 2-2 tie.
There was a bit of hope for this in turn 6 of the 2nd half, but the WE’s had no weak moment with 5 GFI’s this last attempt was stopped, the only bad luck came in turn 8 the Flying elves missed an easy quick pass that would have given them their 3rd td.
Glad this is over. Gratz with your win Winter_Silverfox”
