Some early pressure on the ball carrier back fired as the orcs freed up a blitzer, dodged the goblin carrier free threw a pass and a perfect pass to set the blitzer racing down field. Caught over committed First Light were only able to apply a single tackle zone to the blitzer who lived up to his position and blized free to score on the fourth or fifth turn. Two turns later Hermes tied the game after dodging away from his black orc marker. A goblin fumbled the pick up and Ares collected the ball. Despite the protection he was blitzed down and the half ran out.

The Arm Twisters played with two deep safeties that refused to be drawn in by the bashing elves, despite players being crowd pushed and generally mobbed. Coach Tyrantroll stuck to his defence and it paid off when a poor play left the ball carrier open to a blitz. With his remaining players committed coach Tyrantroll could do little as the elves blocked down the orcs and marked their prone bodies before setting Hermes free with a pass. The game as First Light capitalised on their numerical advantage to pin down the orcs whilst Ajax collected the ball form Hermes and walked in on the eighth. The Arm Twisters were not impressed and gave Helios a kicking on the sixteenth.
