“SMACK finals. The Khermi team brought Ramtut along so we were faced with fighting against 5 mummies. The first half seemed to show that this would be impossible as half of the Khermi blocks were CAS in the first 2 turns. A RIP on our werewolf and 2 BH (both regen). Our team seemed dispirited and they quickly raced to see who could get to the KO box first. However, the run of awesome armor and injury rolls deserted the Khermi and we started to do better. At half it was 1-0, the second half saw another RIP of a ghoul...however, we started to get some CAS of our own and the mummies seemed to not like to regen which helped. Finally it came down to the end of the second half. A 2d blitz on our ball carrier was a push, rerolled into a skull/pow (both players had block). However, a 2d block of our own freed our ball carrier and tied the game at 1-1 and sent it into overtime.

Overtime is where it got silly. The Khermi was down to 9 players and the ball was kicked into the very corner of the pitch. We had perfect defense and then our ghoul BH one mummy...our dirty player (ignored by the ref all game) BH another mummy. Then the second half was our players slowly pounding away at the few remaining skeletons as we attempted to reach the ball...finally on T6 we shoved Ramtut onto the ball which kicked it into the crowd and our wight with no RR picked it up. That was the game then as we scored on the last play of OT for the 2-1 victory.
