“Well the game starts with both of the niggled zombies failing to take the field. Fulliautomatix has been to see the Druid for some protective potion meaning he's safe from injury this match.

Fluffy the wolf retrieves our mid field kickoff and carts it up close to the LOS. Monosyllabix manages to get a blitz on him but they bump off. The dead guys close ranks and Fluffy hides behind a line of zombies. Obelixcoidix has done enough to sneak into the Groupies half however and is in range for a blitz. And Fluffy goes down! There's a big melee around the ball but Scareah can't pick it up. Instantmix blitzes away a screening wight to let Beefix scoot along a crowded sideline, pickup the ball in two tacklezones and pass back to a waiting Monosyllabix. The Gauls have the ball!

Monosyllabix can't out-pace the fast running Scareah though who brings Monosyllabix down. Fortunately for the Gauls though, Scareah has to stretch out a bit toooo far to reach the ball and pulls a hamstring to sit out the rest of the game.
The Gauls crowd around the ball and despite a hovering Cassie Corps, Beefix manages to pick up the ball and execute another back pass, this time to Fulliautomatix who runs forward while the rest of the Gauls form a screen.

With 4 of the Groupies still on the LOS they have some ground to make up, but they adjust quickly forcing Fulliautomatix to doubleback across field. Unhygenix tries a hit of the wolf but he bites off more than he can chew and hurts himself in the process.
Fulliautomatix withstands a blitz from Daisy the zombie and doubles around again hoping to pass to Monosyllabix but he spills it. Unbelieveably Cassie Corps manages to steal the ball right from under his nose and dodges away to score with only minutes remaining in the half. The Gauls trail at half time!

A touchback on the second half kick off gives Codfix the ball near the LoS. Monosyllabix bltizes away Bloodinda to punch a hole in the line for Codfix to run throuh, the Gauls forming a screen behind him. Fluffy has enough speed to run around the screen to blitz Codfix though, and they both go down. But it's still a simple matter for Metallurgix to dash in for the pickup and a sprint to the line.

On the next kickoff the Groupies get the touchback this time and the ball goes to Mary-Jane, the Golem. After a few blocks back and forth, Fluffy hurts Beefix on a blitz and Instantmix earns the teams first niggle courtesy of a lone block by Amanda Hugnkill. The Druid assigned medical duties will be reporting his neglect to Getafix who is reputedly displeased. We surround Mary-Jane who is forced to try and blitz Codfix away but they both go down leaving Whosemoralsarelastix to collect the ball and scoot downfield with none of the Groupies in sight.

Fluffy flies into a rage and hurts Metallurgix on the next blitz.. The Gauls knock him over though to keep the ball carrier safe and Whosemoralsarelastix stalls at the endzone to run down the clock. It's a fatal mistake though as Fluffy is on heat and kills Monosyllabix as a parting shot. May he rest in peace.

A 2-1 win to the Gauls, but the casualties really hurt them and they're not looking flash for their next game. Toutatis helps us, but if they somehow manage a win, they'll be on their way to the conferences with a TR hovering around 130. Not a prospect to look forward to by Belenos!
