Well we received and weathered the aussualt of the orks, this was the one drive that mattered. once we got thru the defence and the wizard it was easy sailing.

a 2nd half GTR all but sealed it.

3pts: Head Stompa - SF and frenzy in the hands of a great coach like lav can really mess things up.
2pts: Loony Tossa - with her ag and passing skills she was able to almost single handily waltz thru our teams once and then also tossed it to the corner where only bill could save the day by picking it up.
1pt: Bone Krasha. her blitzing skills were great and managed to pop the ball out from the loosly formed cage without the help of the wizard.

SWL Season XIX - Premier League - Round 5

KFC are generally a tough opponent for an amazon team, and this match was no exception. We came into the match will all guns blazing, starting with a perfect defence, and a deep kick, the girls were in with a chance. Seeing an opportunity to break into a very loose cage, we were able to steal the ball, but this was only a temporary measure. Unfortunately, Big Bad Bill lived up to his name, and was able to take down the ball carrier with ease. We managed to take the ball again, but it was not enough to stop a move that took the ball from one end of the pitch to the other - we were really starting to run out of players at this point, so once the ball moved from where it was, it was all over.

With more players, we would have had a shot at the 1-turn touchdown - but couldn't quite make it, and with Knee Snappa sent off for a foul, we were in big trouble for the second half - down to just 8 players. The dwarves, not liking to see a player sent off for a foul (regardless of the team), "Got the Ref" for the entire second half, so from that point, we really didn't stand a chance (even when OB made a mis-click that left a small chance)...

All I can say is that we were lucky to get through the match in-tact - especially since the apothecary failed.

------------------- Twahnlow Votes -------------------
3 pts - #1 Big Bad Bill
Crucial player in the first half. All round skills saw him take down the ball carrier with ease, and also collect the ball when things were looking hairy for the dwarves. Top notch player.

2 pts - #6 Tony Twinkletoes
Dwarves need a decent ball carrier, and this fellow sure is one. Tony was the "go to" man when it came to collecting the ball, covering the ball carrier or anything else that took a little more agility than you find in the regular dwarflineup.

1 pt - #10 Bulldog Wills
This last point was a close one - the knock-outs and casualties were so evenly spread that it's hard to pick out any one player. Despite making just 3 blocks for the match, Bulldog Wills included 2 KOs, which was as good as any of the team, and certainly a better ratio than most.
