“After casting about for a category A team to challenge, Coulda Been A Contenda threw down the gauntlet at the feet of Chocolate Addiction. Having recently seen the chaos dwarves gulp down four pounds of reeses pieces and thirty sticks of red licorice, the elves thought that the doughy chaos dwarves would be too sick to offer much resistance. On the opening kickoff, however, the hyped up sugar-snorters ran screaming off the line towards a short kick and got pressure to the ball immediately. For then on it may as well have been a kick to the candy-crazed chaos dwarves. Despite a repeated effort on the fouling front by Glass Jaw, he couldn't do much more than daze the hyperactive hobgoblins. The grinding scrum soon saw elves flying off the pitch for a score and a reset to kick back to the choco-holics. With their numbers depleted, "Wobbly-Head" Bobsson made a daring blitz and ended up in possession of the ball at midfield with wingers open and breaking for the backfield. Surviving the onslaught of blocks, he drew back his arm to pass, ignoring the five tackle zones around him with an icy concentration on his target... But Smarties Bar took the opportunity to nab the ball anyway, and eventually ended up in the end zone.
Well played match by Ro, he didn't make a false move and was quite patient with the ball, particularly in the first half where an ill-conceived press forward could have resulted in a turnover quite easily. Cheers!
ELF scoring: +10 match, -4 opponent touchdowns + 2 casualty for = 8 x 2 (category A) = 16 points.”
“Never underestimate the power of a good sugar rush. The Chocolate Addicts, fresh from an all you can eat buffet sponsored by Reeses suited up to play dem ELFs. The opening kick off seen the hyperactive dorfs racing down the field almost before the ball had left the kicker. Gaining position on the elfs they worked together as a team to grind down the pitch. An early opportunity at a particular elf arose and Mounds was quick to apply a hobgob boot. Because of the sugar in his viens he actually kicked the prone elf several times before they carried poor Clumsy off the field.
All around a fun game and am looking forward to a rematch sometime. Great game Sub.
