“A very enjoyable game indeed! A surpisingly low score for these two teams, used to fast running plays and passing! Most of the posession went to the skaven but they failed to use their traditional speed to full advantage. The elves quickly surrounded any position taken up by the ball holder and forced the skaven to attempt breakthroughs and switches to slip towards the endzone - mostly ending in failure.
For their part, the high elf team made some outstanding plays to allow their runners through a gap in the defense, but their head coach was clearly not used to the speed of the skaven who were able to close down several of the offensives. The insistence of the Skaven on supporting the ball carrier with blockers probably paid off.
All that said, the important events of the game were pieces of extreme luck, as is ever the case in bloodbowl. The elves managed to badly hurt Ravin Face, the skaven rat ogre, who had shown himself early on to be a real danger. Also, the second and winning touchdown came on the very last turn of the match after a lucky scatter roll took the ball right in the middle of 5 skaven players, away from the clutches of the high elves.
Once again the clan eshin superstar Darkklaw was instrumental, reaching over 50 spps now!”
