“A rather one-sided match. Tzilacatzin put up a good fight, but was hamstrung after the first touchdown caused his secret weapons to be ejected. His first (and only?) bomb failed to knock over Grain Fed, who had a stellar game, rarely failing a Pro roll and causing carnage all over the field.
Blaze started with a foul that only caused a stun and was then KO'd by Grain Fed. Turbo's attempts to dodge towards the ball stunned him and left the flank open. An early TD by Arbitrus, with a KO assist from Grain Fed, caused the ref to take a closer look at the Five American Gladiators and send their secret weapons to the dugout.
Following the kick return Blaze powered down the sideline and looked like she'd escape the ministrations of Grain Fed. Short on Damnation were quick to swarm, knocking the ball free and scooting down field on furry feet, only to fall. Turbo scooped up the loose pigskin and was alone in a sea of green. He sighed in relief as Grain Fed vented his rage upon Hired Goon only to be knocked over and stunned by the fleet-footed Oligarch. In a commanding position, the shorties were denied its exploitation by the sounding of the half-time siren.
The Five American Gladiators started the second half with a blitz, Zap sent the spry ball handler Arbitrus from the field and followed seconds later after tripping. Malign Extrusion was able to recover the ball from the subsequent melee and strolled in to extend the lead.
The next kick-off was deep with the ball bouncing into the endzone. With only three players remaining on the pitch, the American Gladiators sent two back to control the ball. Gemini was left to hold the line of scrimmage, but was unceremoniously knocked over by Grain Fed and fouled off the field by Splatricide. Blaze grabbed the ball from the endzone and scurried away from the shorties, who followed, trying to contain the remaining gobbos.
Malign tripped up Turbo, clearing the way for Grain Fed to smash Blaze back into the endzone, breaking her neck. Splorch picked up the loose ball to increase the tally to three.
The final kick-off saw the three remianing Gladiators trying to pound back some honour on the line of scrimmage. Oligarch saw a slim opportunity to score but tripped trying to make it to the ball, leaving insufficient time for the shorties to snatch a fourth.
