“Round 6 in the WIL Morien Regional Division V, and it was a crucial game with 4 teams still in the running.
The Norse did throw a significant number of blocks more than the girls... and it felt like most of the dice were either splats or both downs... which seemed to break the girls armour and result in injuries at will.
In the end a desperate block got the ball dropped from the Str4 Norse, but the ball fell into the hands of the norse fans who promptly threw it deep into the Amazon half... and the Norse had players and rerolls to make it count.
Perhaps a draw would have been a fairer result, but on paper the girls should have won, and it was a day for the underdog.
Now I just have the small matter of some undead to face... It's a must win game for me to stand a chance of promotion!”
“Critical league game, with both teams sitting 4 - 1 and the undead 5 - 1. Both teams hired Zara for the game...
Very hard fought game, that was determined, as you might expect in an amazon vs. norse game, on armor rolls. On turn 5 in the 2nd half, the Norse rolled 2 BHs and surfed 2 players to leave the Zons with 5 men on the field. The zons still managed to poke the ball loose, but some very fortunate luck in the throw-in sealed the game for the Norse.
Good game and good luck in your finale against the undead! A Win and you should advance!”
