“The final League Game before the kick-off of the OBBA Cup was a mixed bag. Though favourites going into the game, Real Sociedead was not taking their opposition, Sjoktraken Wanderers (SWBC), lightly, not with what appeared to be a foul happy Norse team with a very adept Thrower &Catchers and a wizard waiting at the sideline.
A determined first drive from the Norse Warriors was doomed early with a failed completion and one Norse warrior who had repeated chances to snatch it up from the ensuing fumbles would be only the beginning of coach, Craftnburn’s, frustrations.
The Norse removed the crowding undead from the ball, and easily scooped it up but a hole in their defence meant that they were easily scuppered by the talent of Real’s team captain, Gerardo García. After that it looked like it would be a struggle to get the ball back. Indeed, the blitzers did their part in removing the opposing players from around the ball, but agile Ali Al-Habsisson failed the dodge to get to the ball, leaving the coach pulling chunks from his hair and cursing his “star” thrower.
From there, the undead ranks swarmed the ball and managed to get it to Díaz de Cerio who scored a late TD!
Second half, and the Real players began their autonomous trot toward the opponent’s endzone… wary not to stand too huddled together as the opponent’s wizard began perusing through his spell book. And then, early on, the fireball was cast… but it was all bark and no bite, for after the smoke had cleared, all that lay in its wake was a mere zombie.
Nonetheless, despite this, the Norse slowed Real down and had a few chance to make some one on one blocks against Diaz, but the lack of tacklers on the team proved to be a sore point… and he stayed on his feet.
Karla screamed for the ball, conscious that he was but one TD away from securing the top spot of the OBBA Top Scorer’s table, and the MVP award, but Diaz cared not and carried the ball home for another TD.
And so, whilst the Coach celebrates his Team’s Premiership victory due to an early season end, Karla Larburu curses his unfortunate end in a season that he led all the way to the finish line.

GG Craft, unlucky with the important dice made it a frustrating game for him.
I got my Ghoul’s mixed up concentrating on the win to secure the title, which I’m a little gutted about... wanted that Top Scorer trophy for my cabinet. :(”
