“With the top of the WIL Great Albion Regional Division V highly contested it was a much needed win for the Kartoon Killers in a hard fought game against the divisions only chaos team the Andredswald Rangers.
A hard fought half saw the Killers hard work on their defensive game rewarded and after stopping the Rangers drive the humans knuckled down. Some nice block dice rolls from the Rangers saw Paddington Bear injured and Henrys' Cat start on the road to assistant coachdom picking up a niggling injury. Some nice blocking of their own saw humans turn the chaos boys over in turn 4 of the first half allowing the KK's new rookie thrower Samurai Jack to run in a turn 8 TD for the lead.
A successful drive for the Killers in the second half saw them cement their lead with Samurai Jack running in his second TD in turn 3.
Some unlucky block dice for the Rangers and a staunch human defence saw the ball pop loose and the humans take possession in later stages of the match but a fumbled throw saw the Rangers with a last desperate chance for a consolation TD in the dying seconds of the game, but another fumbled throw meant the Killers were able to keep a clean sheet.
With a tough game ahead against PeteW's Great Christian Doctrines promotion is far from certain for our valiant cartoon superheroes, but the win keeps the Killer's in contention for the top 2 spots with all to play for.
