#7 Mick Carter – Broken Ribs (MNG) #7 Mick Carter – Broken Neck (-AG)
“Another fun match against Jan, this time though it was role reversal.
My Humans lined up expcecting a beating, and were not left surprised when a few fell from the pitch, as luck would have it, quickly recovering.
The Humans managed to get the first score, putting some pressure on the Orcs to reply quickly, Nuffle decided against that though, leaving the ball in the end zone where the human catcher only had to pick it up ... sadly he was unable to.
The next chance he had though, the Humans Thrower looked at the strategy book, ignored it, went into 2 Orc zone, picked up the ball and, without hesitating threw a perfect long bomb to the catcher still in the end zone, who still in shock, caught it.
The second half saw more pain piled on the Humans, but after another melee of blocks, the Humans escaped one more and were able to put the score beyond recovery.
This did not altogether deter the Orcs though, who at this point had worked out that, if they no longer needed to think about the ball, they could get on with what they did best ... more blocking.
Another fun game against a great player, who I have had some epic battles with ... I think Jan once said the Humans would win one of our games, although I didn't think this was what he meant!”
