“A tight game in which the Norse enjoyed more possesion than the Blackhill Blockers. 1st half belonged entirely to the Norse who quickly put nearly half the Ogre team into the KO box. The Norse took the lead halfway into the 1st half and allthough the Ogre's launched a desperate attack at the end of the half they still found themselves behind at halftime.

During halftime the Blackhill coach made it to the stands and promised the Blackhill fans a free round of beer if they invaded the pitch and knocked the Norse off. Seconds after half the Norse team lay stunned in the grass leaving the left flank totally open. Mof the Ogre chucked Ray the Gobbo over the Norse front line who then ran to the end zone. The rest of the game was pretty scrappy and could have tilted to either side, but in the end the draw was a fair result.

The Blackhill coach "forgot" about his free beer to the fans which resulted in riots in the stands as people were trying to get to him. It will probably be a while before they again attend a Blackhill game.”
