#4 Snotwipe – Smashed Knee (NI)
Good report, can't add too much, though my foul was a miss click, as i thought it was Blitz, anyway nothing came of it.

Meh, a rather low gate, and my FG couldn't shake off his niggling injury from the match against the ogres. But anyway...

The first half started with the orcs in offense knocking around my defense line and starting to build the cage. Some unexpected turnovers occured on both sides (with me once missing the chance to clear the LoS), but in the end I wasn't able to stop the orcs from finally scoring thier touchdown in T6, despite a T3 casualty against an orkish blitzer. I guess I put too much strength in knocking down the troll on the LoS, and when I had him down at last, my zombies were too slow to intervene.
After the kick-off, my werewolf sent an other blitzer crowd surfing, trying to make some room for a cage, but when the orcs started to amass their men on that side and had to suffer a premature turnover, my second WW ran for a gap on the other side, going for it twice, while a few of my men tried to cover as good as possible. Luck failed the orcs, so I was able to go for it again and score a T8 touchdown.

In the second half, I tried again to send a blitzer into the crowd, starting to build a cage at the same time, but before actually finishing the corresponding moves I went for the ball and, of course, failed to pick it up, thus thwarting all my plans. Consequently, the orcs put much pressure on my team, now pushing one of my feeble zombies out-of-bounds in return and surrounding my cage attempt with superior manpower. When my werewolf finally picked up the ball, he tried to run from the attacking orcs, then falling back as the orcs dealt a good pounding, badly hurting a wight and sending down all but three of my men. Fortunately (for me), the troll couldn't quite remember what he was supposed to do for some time, and simply stayed at the LoS, and when the orcs had to suffer another premature turnover, a wight ran front, receiving the ball in a risky pass, but with my team both outnumbered and slow I couldn't place any support, so he was quickly stopped and the orcs won the ball, even though an orc hurt himself badly in the process.
My werewolf quickly marked the ball-carrier, but didn't attack, and the orcs could fend him off easily. Now having already proceeded to T15, the rest of the match was a stand-still in the orcs' half, with them securing the ball and fouling, and me hoping for a lucky cage breaking and ball bouncing, but to no avail. The match end saw a useless T16 foul (maybe a mis-click as fouling could have happened more efficiently? maybe retaliation for crowd pushing?), and finally resulted in a draw.

This marks the first draw for my necros, which IMHO is quite acceptable considering how we fared during the match. Unfortunately, this also marks the fifth game (of five) in a row without FF increase, and the third game with low winnings, but at least I didn't receive any more niggling injuriries. cooperman wasn't so lucky with the blitzer casualty in the first half and the FF decrease, sorry pal.

Heh, in the end my werewolf was just an interception short of a perfect larson. Let's try again next time... ;)

Thanks to cooperman for the challening match!
