“In this hotly-anticipated AFL Artist Cup matchup, the Sweethearts got off to a roaring start!

The first half saw the Fury receiving and some unorthodox formational play by both teams. There were small pockets of blocking and taclking spread all over the field, with another small cage advancing the football. The Fury concentrated on using their Dwarves to hurt the girls, whereas the Sweethearts employed hit and run tactics against any isolated foes.

Then suddenly, perhaps because the cage was not making good progress, Silvanus decided to take matters into his own hands, leaping over the Sweetheart line and making a lone dash for the endzone! It is not known whether he was following coaching instructions or merely his ego. In any event, he got very close to the endzone before Evangeline showed off her tackling skills and grounded him.

From here, the more mobile Sweethearts were able to regroup on the opposite flank to the Fury cage, and a deep throw saw Scarlett free for the score, even though she dropped the pass! Half time score, 1-0.

In the second, the Sweethearts found themselves reduced in numbers. A quick crowd surf soon evened matters out, however, much to the annoyance of coach Dragonsmaw!

From here, the Fury had to put pressure on, and this they did, putting their hands on thrower Emilie. But Emily has been there before, and deftly dodged out and switched flanks with a nice throw to superstar April. April charged for the endzone, protected well, but she could have been brought down by Silvanus, who instead was KOed for his efforts. April eventually scored for the 2-0 win.

Said coach Prasomchai, "We were extremely concerned about this game, with all the tacklers involved. But we came through, and anyone who saw this will be worrying about the prospect of playing us! Barring injuries, which should not be so bad due to having 14 blodgers, we are going to be extremely difficult to defeat this Season. AFL coaches watch out! We mean business this season!"
