“Snake matched against the agile elves of Stainless seemed like a mismatch on paper...the same TS for each team, but a handicap (buzzing) going to the elves of Stainless. The first half was a rough one for the lizards. The elves scored quickly and then constant failures in blocking allowed the elves to tie down the ball deep in lizard territory for most of the rest of the half...however, finally, the lizards bashed free and scampered in for a T8 TD to tie the score at 1-1.
The second half started with a double skull & skull/pow RRed into the same for the lizards and once again the elves were near the ball...however, they were also near the sidelines and unlike the sidestepping skinks. A total of 5 elves ended up being pushed into the crowd and a foul with 1 assist ended up badly hurting another elf. The massive crowd pushing reduced the elves to few in number - a skull on an elf block then badly hurt another elf and it was 10 lizards to 4 elves on the pitch...rather than score with another skink, the lizards took the time to handoff the ball to a sauras who then scored on T16 to ensure the victory.
Overall, it was a well played game - the decision to force the action too close to the sidelines was the elves undoing and removing those players from the pitch was the decisive move that won the game game for Snake!
Thanks for the game!”
