FumbblSmack_pro semifinal. Close and exciting game.

The humans had hired the count, which severly complicated things for the dwarfs.
Dwarfs could start attacking, but a PD made it a difficult start and the humans defended in full force. We managed to get control of the game, throwing lots of blocks, but barely doing any damage. At turn 6, the humans got a one die at the ballcarrier thx to HG from the count, but didn't make it. Next turn, I could block almost his whole team down, and looked on my way to 1-0, just needed to block one guy next to the ballcarrier away. Double block dice, rerolled into double skulls, so no touchdown.
However, the humans forget that it's turn 7 and do not get their ballcarrier into scoring position. I get careless here, and decide to blitz the ballcarrier, which fails. With the assisting blitzer next to the ballcarrier, he can make a chainpush and still score. It turned out, it was HERE I lost the game. Sheir carelessness from my part, 0-1 down thus.

Second half. Humans start with a careless attack, and I can open up a gap to blitz his thrower. Wasted a reroll in the process, so had to go for a one die blitz instead of a two die, but failed anyway. Humans can score easily now, but the catcher fails the catch. After some struggle, the catcher picks up and runs to safety. I manage to get a dwarf net to him, and next turn, the count rolls snake eyes on the attempt to blitz him free.
Suddenly I still have chances for overtime. Next turn I pick up the ball, and foul the count MNG, things looking good now. I manage to get into TD range (one go for it needed), but in his final turn he manages to get a SF blitzer in my path. I blitz him, but cannot get him down on 4 dice. Try dodging past him, but fail.

So weird game: I definatly had the luck that he didn't score the 2-0 on two occasions (catch and count blitz), but I myself was a pow away from TD on two occasions as well, and twice didn't get it on 4 dice. Had the failed blitz at his thrower as well. But in the end, it was my own mistake of handing him the TD trough chainpush in turn 8 first half.
That happens when you are overconfident, play unconcentrated, and underestimate your opponent.

Lesson well learned.
