#3 Atl – Dead (RIP)
Off to a bad start when Acolmiztli received a barrel of Lustrian Gin from home. He was so confident of beating the upstarts he drained it all and had difficulty concentrating on the match. Didn't turn out to be too much of a problem, fortunately.

The Sauren took over the ball handling this game, leaving skinks to take care of the getting-hit-by-orcs duties, eventually culminating in Atlacamani managing to run home an unopposed touchdown. Opposition would have been better though, as rather than chase down the saurus the greenskins took the opportunity to group round Atl and adminster a kicking while he was lying prone which killed him.

Fortunately, prior to the match head coach Lucan had already received word that another Saurus was travelling to Bretonnia and had made arrangments to hire him as soon as this match finished. Formerly known a Ssthariss, the new Saurus has been baptised Atl by his teammates in a somewhat dubious honour of their departed friend.

(Well played, Madmac. Enjoyed the game but damn you to hell for all eternity for killing one of my players. Was it Pop or Shokner who made the kick? I feel a book of grudges coming on.)

Coach MadMac led his rookie Mean Green Mekchine to an exciting 2-1 victory against the slightly favored Lustrian Gods. If this was LRB 5 the MVP would surely have gone to MGM Thrower Paul Crewe. The Orc Thrower was key to the MGM victory by throwing a TD pass on the final turns of both halfs. MGM could not have won without him.

Without a doubt Coach Lucan's Lustrian Gods brought their A game. Even without any skills, the Sauren had no trouble knocking down the MGM players. The Skinks moved where they willed on the pitch by dancing around the orcs with reckless abandon. Add to that the fact that not a single Skink got injured and you have an exciting back and forth game that was decided by AG 3 Ball handling.

The turning point of the game was in the middle of the second half. Sauren Atlacamani caught a lucky bounce and rushed for the MGM Endzone. Coach Lucan surrounded his Strength 4 ball carrier with skinks 3 squares from the endzone.

I knew I could not stop the TD if Coach Lucan went for it right away . But if he intended to delay the only chance to stop the TD and score was to remove a Sauren.

4 Orcs rushed towards the ballcarrier. They could not reach him this turn but they would be in position to stop the TD if he did not take it on turn 5. Orc Lineman Pop with assist from 5 other MGM players put the boot to Saurus Alt and killed him. Pop was ejected from the game but the loss of another Saurus (One was BH already) would make a difference in the final drive.

It should be noted that Coach Lucan used his apothocary earlier to preven a Saurus from a miss next game injury.

The Lustrian Gods tied the game on turn 5 and MGM received the all with 3 turns remaining. With only two turns left on the clock MGM Thrower Paul Crewe dodged away from double skink coverage to throw a long pass to Blitzer Granville. Blitzer Granville scored the winning touchdown on the final turn of the game. MGM moved the ball 18 spaces in 2 turns.
