“A good match, with Canvas playing superbly, and no permanent injuries to boot!

Canvas was unfortunate not to score on a turnover in the first half actually, after his swift Elves surprised my girls, putting extreme pressure on them deep in their own half. Subsequently I allowed Emilie to be surfed, which I MUST stop doing! In the end, a goal line trip (just) saved the day- though the girls defended superbly, I have to say, with just 5 players against 11!

In the second, the Calling scored easily against 10 Amazons, but they also left enough time for April to score an almost inevitable t16 leveller.

The conclusion I drew from this game is that high TR Amazons are a real challenge for me. I don't seem to make best use of the skills they have to offer. That being said, I am pleased with a tie, it is a better start to a season than we've ever had! Usually we lose 2-0 and get a serious hammering!

On a happy note, we're both top of the AFL! Woohoo!
