I understand that my Bullcentaurs are gonna drop the ball from time to time, they tried picking it up 3 times this match to no avail, but when my AG 4 hobgoblins drop it 2 turns in a row and they fail to give us a chance to equalize, I do get a little miffed.

Our perfect season ended tonight by the tough play of Prophane and his orcs. He put the right players in the right spots all night long. I threw skulls, and 1's and frustratedly overcommitted several times.

Vet is a rough neighborhood, sometimes you get stomped, and sometimes you do the stomping. I'm looking forward to doing some stomping soon.

GG Proph.

the match started out fairly as expected. the hams kicked off to the perms and buy the 2nd block of the game, the Hams were putting their Apoth to work and narrowly escaping a 1st turn RIP. the game progressed from there.
quickly the big Bull Centaurs trotted down the field with the ball in tow.

The crafty orcs managed to put a few players on the bull centaurs and that was enough to slow their drive to a stop. the hams never managed to recover the ball, but did stop the Big Perms from scoring in the first half.

The other highlight was when Steven Jack-Knife put down a hard core block and managed to "Kill Bill for a Skill" (apoth succesful!)

The second half began with the Perms kicking off to the Hams, who eagerly scooped the ball up and began scooting down the pitch.

The Big Perms quickly put up a big wall of defense that stopped the ballcarrier just past the LOS. After a few turns of pushing back and forth, the ball gets knocked loose, goes out of bounds and gets tossed back in way in the Hams backfield. Veteran thrower Marc Bludger managed to dodge free, run back, 2 GFIs, pick up the ball, and make a LONG pass over several interceptors to #79 Ryan Pickaxe, who happened to be standing all alone in open field.

Surprised and excited, Ryan bolted across the field, away from the sure feet of The Lord Thomson of Fleet - Canada. As time was running out, Ryan Pickaxe managed his first TD ever, giving the Hams yet another victory in Season 6 of the NWL!

Good game Coach Tod, you need some new dice!
