“One that got away. Going in I had no expectations except to take casualties. Fortunately one of the claw guys and a rotter niggled out. Fulliautomatix got a strenght increase temporarily which helped a bit too.

Our luck was pretty average for the most part, missing an easy throw to botch an early TD and we could barely knock anyone over. In an extrordinary turn of events tho, Cacafonix managed a double dodge, 2 dice block against Creeper (I think) who was just yards away from the endzone. Two POWs, the ball bounced free and the rotters couldn't pick it up leaving us 1 nil at the break.
Turn 2 in the second half anohter stroke of good fortune when Dark_Lord didn't completely screen his ball carrier allowing Polysyllabix a single dice block (POW). The ball bounced kindly enough for Fulliautomatix to pick it up in a TZ and score next turn.
2-0 up and we thought we we'd get away with a win.
Sadly, with only 8 to start the second half, we predicatably can't stop conceding the first TD (tho Fulliautomatix had a favourable block at the critical turn but couldn't take down the rookie beast.
I thought we could hold out for the win by taking the ball deep, but Beefix got blitzed. We had a shot at a runaway TD though if only he could make the pass to an open Polysyllabix but nuffle made us pay for our earlier good fortune when he misses a need gfi to leave the ball for Criminally Insane to pickup and score right on the hooter.

A valiant effort by the warriors maybe deserved just a little better. At least the fans enjoyed it by supporting us once more.

3 Points. Crippler. The stats don't lie. He blitzed almost every turn and if it wasn't a cas it was a stun of a KO. An absolute terror.
2 Points. Criminally Insane. The all important blitz late to dispossess Beefix and score the equaliser.
1 Point. Nalavara. A good catch and carry to score the first by a rookie player.
